Orange Spiced Rum
90 Proof (45% ABV)
Hell’s Bay Rum is a Spanish-style rum distilled in small batches through a century-old fermentation process with open cypress wood fermenters using a blend of sugar, molasses, water and two different strains of yeast. The rum is aged for 5 to 7 months in charred new American oak barrels that provide the rum with its rich color and complex profile. It’s bottled at 45% ABV. The nose has lightly buttered caramel, mild spice, mild honey, floral notes, a touch of vanilla, followed by a woody and soft smoke notes from the charred oak barrels. The taste has notes of buttery caramel and charred oak (similar to a bourbon), followed by spice, honey, and a hint of vanilla. Hell’s Bay is a semi-dry, smooth medium bodied rum.
